  • Completed numerous joint/partnership Projects with First Nation Communities, starting in the early 1990’s.
  • Organized/facilitated a number of meetings and conferences on behalf of Chief and Council from partner communities, including the Clayoquot Symposium in Ahousaht, 1996.
  • Functioned as primary liaison/negotiator for numerous corporate projects involving government approvals from; DFO, CWS, MoELP, MoF, MoTI, TC, First Nations, Regional Districts, and Municipalities.
  • Completed an Archaeological Cedar Tree inventory on Graham Island in Haida Gwaii, on behalf of the Minister of Forest (M. de Jong), under the terms of Government Action Regulation (2005).
  • Consulting to the CEO of Sealaska Timber Company, reviewed the Land Use Plan and existing AAC. (2005)
  • Produced a report for the Ministry of Forest, regarding Harvest Opportunities for the Ditidaht First Nation within their Traditional Territory. (2006)
  • Consultant to the Stz’uminus First Nation regarding land development at Oyster Bay. (2020)
  • Principle consultant developing the Indigenous Employment Hub (IEH) for the Cowichan Nation Alliance on southern Vancouver Island. (2021)
  • Negotiator for the Ministry of Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation (MIRR) on the Te’mexw Treaty Association table. (2021)
  • Regional Director of the North Island Mid Coast for MIRR. (2022 to present)
  • Over 3 decades of forest land management & land development experience.
  • Extensive construction and project management experience on residential and industrial projects.
  • Created a robust process to identify governmental funding opportunities and complete successful applications.
  • Developed and implemented numerous strategic and operational plans. Ranging from 200-year strategic plans to 20/10/5 yr and 1-year operating plans.
  • Working with ESRI Specialist, developed GIS “mapping tools” for land management, land development and land improvement applications.
  • Created process’s that link Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) from the strategic vision to operational implementation.
  • Led and participated in >100 Public Consultation Projects, including more than 500 public meetings. Established numerous Community Advisory Groups.
  • Completed change management and re-engineering projects to assist employees as they moved to evolving technologies with new procedures.
  • Over 20 years of resource management & environmental planning.  (Certified Horticulturist).

  • Non-timber Resource Coordinator, managing all aspects of non-timber resources; Wildlife, fish habitat & riparian areas, visual impacts, noise mitigation, ground water protection, Karst Features, CMT’s, Recreational areas and other non-timber items on >2.5 million ha.
  • Extensive experience facilitating Board and Executive Management Teams.
  • Past member of numerous Boards; including the Chamber of Commerce, Nanaimo Airport Commission, CVRD Commissions, BC Forest Museum, BC Airport Association, BC Aviation Council and many others.
